masuk hospital

hanna was admitted to the hospital on the 20th december 2009.

she was feverish in the afternoon. i gave her some medicine and the temperature subsided. at night she was shivering and we took her to the hospital. her temperature at that time was 42 degrees. they had to cool her off and they advised us to be admitted just to monitor her temperature.

nasib baik hanna good girl. kena poke dgn needle pon tak nangis. brave girl la hanna ni.

water was inserted to help reduce the heat

tetap lalu makan walau di hospital

mousey menemani hanna all the time. thank you mousey

makan ubat susah sikit.

general room jer hehheh thank you prudential.

we promised abang for a trip to kl that weekend. but he still could not put up his pants (see to the hospital with kain pelikat) plus since hanna was admitted so kl trip was cancel. but abang was sweet enuff to come and accompany his sister even in his sarung.

mama love you all loads.

danish aiman on his BIG day 11.12.2009

aiman selepas disunatkan on the 11th december 2009.

he is one sweet boy. not a rebellious one (yet).

dan dia juga seorang yang penakut.

so we have prepared ourselves for the worst case scenario at the clinic.

few days before the big day mama had nightmares already imagining him kicking and yelling at us.

but on the real day not even an adoi were heard outside the room. yupp mama dinna masuk dalam. takut. kalau ikut pi clinic pon mama taknak. tapi sebab ayah sorang je so kena teman jugaklah.

aiman telah berjaya disunatkan and not a single tear was shed. so proud of him BUT it took him ages to get up after the sunat and not seluar for almost 2 weeks. very funny. he dinna walk and only lie down for almost one full week.

you're big boy now danish aiman.

we had makan makan the same night. invited close friends and family. had barbeque, some spaghetti, nasi goreng , closlaw, bread and butter pudding and etc.

celebrated few birthday.opah, ayah aunty tina and not forgetting the sunat boy.

ditemani sahabat sedia pengubat duka lara.

at night ayah had to angkat him and there's kain sangkut also in our room for a week.

awkward

adakah betul ejaan awkward tu? kenapa rasa pelik je?

anyway last weekend i was in kl. jumpa satu friend masa u dulu. was not that close to him tapi bertegur sapa la jugak dulu. dia dengan wife and bapa mertua. and the bapa mertua was holding a baby and that baby is an albino baby. he introduced us to his father in law and wifey but disregard the baby. so i thought that the baby is his neice or something. so after some chatting he asked me anak dah berapa. so i answered 2.

what about you? biasalah soalan soalan berbasa basi.

so he answered one. yang tadi tu la.

and i was like oo baru sorang. pastu dah tak tahu nak comment apa-apa.

dan terus sengap dan rasa awkward.

sangat tidak suka moment awkward itu.

cuba untuk beralih topic tapi rasa jugak yang dia pon dah macam awkward.

so said good bye and we took our own way.

this is me. i really do not know how to react in this odd situation. mesti dia ingat i memandang anak dia pelik kan? but nooooo!! i just do not know how to react. i just do not know whether he wants to share his story or he dinna want me to know.

i think it's quite rude to pass any comment about the daughter's condition but not passing any comment doesn't look good either.

so glad that we move on right after that so tidaklah berawkward lama sangat.

GUANGZHOU

my first attempt conquering china. went to Guangzhou in august 2009.
went there with one friend and two sister.
we were a bit blur for a moment as those people do not speak English at all. and those print outs from the Internet is no use at all unless it's written in Chinese. we were misdirected to the hotels and by the time we check in to the hotel all of us were exhausted. it was soooo hot. and you can see some Chinese people move around topless (man only ok).

found this in Beijing street. a very famous street for tourists. it was preserved for history i guess but am not sure haw far it's true.

that big building over there is full of clothing mostly for wholesale. they do sell in small quantity but the price would be different then.

maksudnya? nasib baik sign mc d still the same sign. noo noo we cannot eat mc donald's (just in case if you are curious)

another building waiting to be explored

tak cukup building there's an underground too. and the underground also got levels ok

and yet another building

as i have mentioned earlier most of the people here do not speak English and even they have signage that is written in English well it would be something like this.

it's quite easy to find halal food as they are quite a number of Chinese Muslim in Guangzhou. nasik ini amat sedap dimakan sebab dimakan ketika kelaparan yang amat sangat.

mee ala ala mee sup but chinese style. the taste: so so lah.

nasik paprik kot. hehhe. the best thing is although they cannot speak english but in this particular restaurant they put up the pictures of the food dekat menu nya. so nya we need to point the most tempting dishes in the menu and the outcome were as above.

pembuat mee.

underwear pon ada one big mall for it?

it was quite an experience for us to visit guangzhou and exploring it on our own. it is relatively safe for us to travel around and the mtr/mrt/lrt system is quite systematic. but no taxi please unless you can speak chinese.

medan

went to Medan in February 2009 for our 7th year anniversary.

it was a last minute plan. this was our second honeymoon trip of 7 years of marriage. yeah you do the math.

the first one was in 2006 before Hanna was conceived. it was in Bali.

this is the famous mosque in Medan. we took a 3 days 2 nights package in Medan. the package includes transportation and meals. we were driven around Medan by our tourist guide

upon arrival we had lunch and afterwards went directly to lake toba/danau toba. it was a very tiring journey.

the view from the top. the other island is samosir island

horas means bye bye in batak language (if I'm not mistaken)

si piso piso waterfall. sangat tinggi

view near sipiso-piso

way they show their condolences. no it's not real flower but it's kinda interesting

cambodia

pictures taken in phnom penh cambodia.

been there few times for bussiness purposes

was quite surprised to see the capital city of cambodia to be so underdeveloped

they have their own currency in riel but us dollar is widely use. the riel is usually used for small change i.e below $1

this place is called central. it is located in the middle of the town

it sells almost everything

closes around 5pm every day

homeless in phnom penh. beggars are everywhere. the children goes around in their birth suit almost everywhere to beg for a dollar or two

these kids reminded me of my own and how lucky they are as compared to the cambodian kids
never brought my kids to these places as it is so unsuitable for them. if not for the business i wouldn't have been there few times either
